Phil Sharp - Abbey Realtor

Phil Sharp Abbey Realtor Thurston CountyI have been a real estate investor and home owner since I was in my early twenties, having recognized the rewards that come with home ownership from my parents and others.  During my 24 years in the Army, I made a point of buying, and holding onto, homes at each of my stateside duty stations.  Because of this I was able to retire from the Army in 2004 and transition to a career as a realtor and investor without the normal stress that comes with a career change.  Although I am not the type of person who could ever retire and not work, my real estate investments have allowed me to do what I love; with the knowledge that I can quit when I want and be comfortable (and spoil my granddaughter with reckless abandon).

Although I have a reputation as a real estate investors agent, with a special place in my heart for Military folks; I am really just a well rounded realtor with negotiating skills developed thru my lifetime of investing, and drive and determination learned during 24 years “being all I could be / doing more before 9am…..”.

In 2004, the year that I retired from the Army, I made the decision to become a full time realtor as a complement to my investing business.  To be successful I knew that I had to take advantage of the coming of age of the internet as the vehicle to achieve success.  As a result, I arguably have the largest local web presence in Thurston County; and on my various websites you will find tools and information that are not meant to be flashy or catchy, but useful to buyers and sellers who recognize the importance of  the web in 21st century sales and marketing.

I work with a large client base of local investors.  Some who live off of their investments, some who supplement their income, and some who have made real estate their retirement plan.  If you are interested in investing, I will not tell you that it is a get rich quick scheme, but real estate is in my opinion the best investment a person can make, with the least risk and the greatest  potential return….if you pursue investing in real estate as a business, and not an emotional venture.
