Are you familiar with the new "distressed property law" that went into effect recently? It's a new law that makes it more difficult for real estate agents to work with homeowners in foreclosure.

I talks about prohibiting the practice of skimming the equity away from the homeowner.

Can you shed some light on this? The article appeared in the Tacoma News Tribune Friday June 13, 2008.

Here is what Phil had to say in an email response to this question. I wanted to share with the group:

"I have, and am using a whole new set of contracts for distressed properties. The Intent of the new law was primarily to stop equity skimming..."
